Mental Health & Recovery Services Board
This agency serves as the state of Ohio's coordinator for Mental Health Services in three counties in Western Ohio. Marketing seven agencies under one umbrella was a big challenge. Getting people to overcome their stigma about discussing mental health issues was an even bigger one. The agencies united behind a common brand: "The We Care People." Their mission is to provide "Hope, Help & Care" to every person needing treatment. This was one of six ads designed to illustrate the basic goals of restoring mental health: a stable family life, ability to work and having a sense that life is worth living. A companion set of ads was developed geared towards children. This campaign was judged by many mental health professionals as one of the most successful ever in impacting residents and changing attitudes about mental health.
